THERE IS NO LOVE LIKE THIS
John 3:16. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
1John 4:8 says, God is love. This means that the very essence of God is love. The fundamental nature of God is love. Love is who The Eternal God is
For God so loved The world - The word “world” refers to all the inhabitants of the earth, the human race, mankind, all of humanity, Jews and Gentiles, slave and free, sinner and saint. Man who was created in the image and likeness of God. God does not pick and choose and He’s neither selective nor partial.
Why does God love us? He’s our Father and by extension we’re his children, that’s why Jesus tells us in Matthew 23:9. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
2 Corinthians 6:18. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
The quality of love that God extends to us is Agape Love which is the highest form of love. Agape love is the selfless, sacrificial, unconditional, extraordinary, special love with no expectation of return and no strings attached that God exhibited at Calvary and demonstrates to us daily.
There is no higher, better-quality or more excellent love than agape love. God's Agape love for us, is a love; that loves so profoundly – deep and strong that it knows no limits or boundaries in how far and sacrificial God will go to show His love and to give His love to us..........
God’s love is greater than that of one’s parents, spouse, siblings, family and friends. There’s no love like it anywhere. Jeremiah 31:3. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
God’s love is unconditional. Romans 5:8. God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us – when we didn’t love or wanted God, He extended His unconditional love to us.
1 John 3:1. See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!
Prayer: Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your incredible love—for loving the world so deeply that You gave Your only Son, Jesus Christ, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
Lord, help me to fully grasp the depth of that love, and to respond with faith, gratitude, and obedience. Let this truth shape my heart, my choices, and my purpose each day.
May I never take Your gift for granted. Teach me to live in the light of Your grace, to love others as You have loved me, and to share the hope of eternal life with those who need to hear it.
